Frequently asked questions
- Why does my image show no metadata?
- Only JPEG files carry EXIF. PNG and WebP images have none. Many apps and social networks also strip EXIF when you export or upload, so a shared photo often arrives blank.
- Can this tool see a photo's location?
- If the camera saved GPS tags and they were not stripped, yes — the latitude and longitude are shown with a link to the map. Use the Image Metadata Remover to take them out.
