Frequently asked questions

Why is the download always a PNG?
Only PNG (and WebP) support transparency. A JPG cannot have transparent corners, so the circle is exported as PNG to keep the area outside it clear.
Can I choose which part of the photo the circle covers?
The circle is taken from the centre. Crop the image first with the Crop Image tool if you need to reposition the subject before making it round.
